please define "non-sampling error"
Category: glossary by Easton T. From Westminster, United States
A statistical error caused by human error to which a specific statistical analysis is exposed. These errors can include, but are not limited to, data entry errors, biased questions in a questionnaire, biased processing/decision making, inappropriate analysis conclusions and false information provided by respondents. Non-sampling errors are part of the total error that can arise from doing a statistical analysis. The remainder of the total error arises from sampling error. Unlike sampling error, increasing the sample size will not have any effect on reducing non-sanpling error. Unfortunately, it is virtually impossible to eliminate non-sampling errors entirely.

please define a "delivered ex quay"
Category: glossary by G. V. From Luxembourg, Luxembourg
In international trade, a contract specification where the seller must deliver the goods to the wharf at the destination port. Delivered ex quay may be noted as having duty paid or unpaid. If it is marked as paid, the seller is responsible for any costs, such as duty, and risks associated with the delivery. The buyer must pay the costs and duty when the DEQ is marked as "duty unpaid." Delivered ex quay is an alternative to delivered ex ship (DES). With a DES specification, the seller must make the goods available on board a ship at the destination port. DEQ changes the specification, noting that the goods must be delivered to the wharf. It's important to realize that because this is a legal term, its exact definition is much more complicated and differs by country. It is suggested that you contact an international trade lawyer before using any trade term.
do you know what the "floating interest rate" is?
Category: glossary by Corbin E. From Monaco-Ville, Monaco
An interest rate that is allowed to move up and down with the rest of the market or along with an index. This contrasts with a fixed interest rate, in which the interest rate of a debt obligation stays constant for the duration of the agreement. A floating interest rate can also be referred to as a variable interest rate because it can vary over the duration of the debt obligation. For example, residential mortgages can be obtained with a fixed interest rate, which is static and can't change for the duration of the mortgage agreement, or with a floating interest rate, which changes periodically with the market. In the case of floating interest rates in mortgages, and most other floating rate agreements, the prime lending rate is used as a basis for the floating rate, with the agreement stating that the interest rate charged to the borrower is the prime interest rate plus a certain spread.
